'Reflective Height' wins Silver Flora award

You will need QuickTime to see the above movie

As the name suggests, 'Reflective Height' is a garden that will influence people's mood, through the usage of colour, ambience and reflected light. The garden is designed to be light, airy and uplifting. The two 'Skylar' sails provide height and drama within the garden they also offer the occupants the real benefit of UV protection.

The planting scheme is designed to be naturalistic with a great sense of movement; it is based on calming whites, blues and mauves. Grey Sandstone paving, laid in a parquet style, gives a cool contemporary edge. The ergonomic firepit, drinks cooler and seating area, offer changing form and function to suit the user, whether it is for shade, on hot summer days, or rain shelter and warmth on cool winter nights.

This garden is based on form, fluidity and movement; it has evolved from a concept design for a small uplifting garden by Chloe Salt. Chloe is currently at University, studying for an honours degree in Garden Design.

This year she has teamed up with her father Jeremy Salt and fellow designer Roger Bullock. Chloe says "It is great to share the workload, as it means that I can still party with my friends at Uni".
