Hampton Court Palace Flower Show
1996 'English Romantic Garden'
: Gold Medal Award
This secluded and restful garden was inspired and influenced by a Victorian Italianate theme, features included a small rowing boat, porphyry walling in the sunken garden and an imposing pergola for alfresco living. The garden was a huge hit with the public and paved the way for Jeremy's future success. Jeremy and his team created this small lakeside retreat, which was a complete dichotomy to Cleve West's contemporary 'Town Waterside Garden' that was faced opposite on an identically sized plot that shared the lake. Both gardens were awarded a Gold Medal and ten years on Jeremy and Cleve are still good friends and have recently collaborated on Cleve West's acclaimed Chelsea Garden for SAGA in 2006.
